NAME
MEMBERSHIP AND OFFICE BEARERS
Queer Greens Victoria shall be open to all members of the AGVAustralian Greens Victoria who identify as LGBTIQA+ and support the empowerment, equal opportunities, rights, safety, economic independence and self-determination of all LGBTIQA+ people within an intersectional framework.
The QGVAustralian Greens Victoria Members who do not identify as LGBTIQ may actively participate in the QGVQueer Greens Victoria but may not vote, block consensusthe circumstance in which no member of the party body who is in attendance objects to the proposal being passed, having been given the opportunity to do so or be office bearers.
AGVQueer Greens Victoria shall annually elect a Convenor, Secretary, and Treasurer at an AGMAnnual General Meeting. The working group may elect co-office bearers for any of these positions.
The QGV- In the event that the group elects to have co-office bearers, it is desirable that at least one of these not identify as a cisgender male. If nominating for a shared position, the nominees must nominate as a joint ticket.

PURPOSE OF THE GROUP
- Queer Greens Victoria shall serve as a forum for the engagement of LGBTIQA+ people and their allies in the AGVAustralian Greens Victoria and support the empowerment, equal opportunities, rights, safety, economic independence and self- determination of all LGBTIQA+ within an intersectional framework. ROLES OF THE GROUP
Queer Greens Victoria shall promote and facilitate the involvement of LGBTIQA+ people within an intersectional framework in the AGVAustralian Greens Victoria and local branches.
The QGVQueer Greens Victoria shall encourage and grow membership of the AGVAustralian Greens Victoria within LGBTIQA+ communities and support LGBTIQA+ members to take roles of responsibility within the party.
The QGVQueer Greens Victoria may advocate in the interests of LGBTIQA+ Victorians within the AGVAustralian Greens Victoria and across the broader community, and generate awareness of the issues facing LGBTIQA+ people and their families in Victoria and the AGVAustralian Greens Victoria.

Queer Greens Victoria shall ensure that the human rights of LGBTIQA+ people and families are protected and advanced within AGVAustralian Greens Victoria policies.
The QGVQueer Greens Victoria may contribute to AGVAustralian Greens Victoria policya statement of principle and intent about what government should do development within the scope of any policya statement of principle and intent about what government should do development process agreed to by the State Council.
The QGVQueer Greens Victoria may provide information on issues facing LGBTIQA+ people to elected AGVAustralian Greens Victoria members and support the delivery and implementation of policies relevant to LGBTIQA+ people.
The QGVQueer Greens Victoria may assist with or coordinate electoral or other campaigns that are consistent with AGVAustralian Greens Victoria policya statement of principle and intent about what government should do or decisions of the Victorian Campaign Committee.
The QGVQueer Greens Victoria may fundraise for and support the election of LGBTIQA+ candidates at elections, consistent with decisions of the Victorian Campaign Committee.

BUDGET
Queer Greens Victoria has no authority to incur debts or secure loans on behalf of the party.
The QGVQueer Greens Victoria may make arrangements with the AGVAustralian Greens Victoria State Treasurer to open and operate a bank account.
The QGVQueer Greens Victoria will only expend funds provided by the party where this is an accordance with an agreed budget or proposal agreed to at a QGVQueer Greens Victoria meeting.
The QGVQueer Greens Victoria Treasurer in consultation with the QGVQueer Greens Victoria Convenor will be responsible for approving expenditure in the budget, although any QGVQueer Greens Victoria member may request funding for activities.

COMMUNICATION, MEETINGS, AND DECISION MAKING
Queer Greens Victoria may operate an internal AGVAustralian Greens Victoria email list.
QGVQueer Greens Victoria working group shall meet at least four times a year, either in person or via electronic means.
The QGVQueer Greens Victoria shall be those advertised to the group’s members up to two weeks prior to the meeting date with a quorum of six QGVQueer Greens Victoria members, but the quorum must include at least one QGVQueer Greens Victoria Office Bearer, unless all Office Bearer positions are vacant.
Valid meetings of the QGVQueer Greens Victoria shall not make decisions on behalf of the AGVAustralian Greens Victoria, except when delegated by State Council to do so.
The QGVQueer Greens Victoria shall be minuted and sent to the AGVAustralian Greens Victoria Secretary and QGVQueer Greens Victoria members within ten days of the meeting.
Any decisions made by meetings of the QGVQueer Greens Victoria members are expected to abide by social media guidelines as outlined on the relevant platform and guided by AGVAustralian Greens Victoria bylaws around the use of social media.

QUICK DECISION MAKING
- Queer Greens Victoria working group will establish a Quick Decision Making Group (QDMGQuick Decision Making Group) of QGVQueer Greens Victoria members for instances where urgent decisions need to be made before the next scheduled meeting of QGVQueer Greens Victoria. It shall operate in accordance with the provisions set out in clause 50 of the AGVAustralian Greens Victoria Constitution. The QGV
ANTICIPATED LONGEVITY
REPORTING AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Queer Greens Victoria shall provide a written report to each AGVAustralian Greens Victoria Annual State Conference on: (a)current membership; (b)meeting activity; and (c) progress on any areas that are within the purpose and roles.
The QGVQueer Greens Victoria Convenor/s must respond to any written correspondence from the AGVAustralian Greens Victoria Convenor and/or Secretary.
